Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Non-Medical Transportation (NMT) Driver
Location: Cincinnati & surrounding areas
Employment Type: Part-Time & Full-Time
Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour (based on position, experience, and assignment)
Position Overview
A Defined Way Healthcare is seeking compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Non-Medical Transportation (NMT) Drivers to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. Our team members play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
DSP Responsibilities may include:

Assisting individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs)

Providing companionship and community support

Following individual service plans and care plans
-
Maintaining accurate documentation and task sheets
-
Supporting client safety, dignity, and independence
-
Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members
NMT Responsibilities may include:
-
Transporting individuals safely to appointments, activities, and outings
-
Ensuring vehicle cleanliness and safety
-
Maintaining proper documentation and logs
-
Providing respectful and professional client support during transport
Qualifications & Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
-
High school diploma or GED preferred
-
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ability to pass BCI & FBI background checks (Ohio DODD requirement)

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

DSP training required (or willingness to complete)

Strong communication skills and reliability
